There is something invigorating in the noise of the sea, and the crash of the waves. The sheer power that is held and released is monumental.
It is truly a wonder or nature and has two effects on me. It calms me but exhilarates me. The white foamy peaks collapsing from their crescendo is forever a beautiful sight.
It signifies the edge of my land, and the end of my world. It reminds me just how small my environment is. Out there, over that vast ocean of water, exists other lands. Some explored by me but on the whole unexplored.
Fierce, ferocious, fascinating. But to most other people it means a day at the beach. Sun, fun, sand, friends.
As always different things have different meanings for different people.
